Seaward Group USA makes a buzz at Intersolar
Electrical safety company showcases PV testing technology and new reporting tool - with exciting new utility scale device arriving in fall

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Market-leader Seaward Group USA showcased its PV testing devices and new reporting technology at Intersolar in July – and hinted at exciting new technology being launched this fall.

The Solar Utility Pro

The company demoed its PV210 testing device for customers, contractors and installers during the USA's largest solar exhibition.

The highly efficient device provides an all-in-one approach to commissioning tests and allows I-V curve trace measurements to be viewed instantly on a smartphone.

The price of the PV210 has been reduced from 2,695 to 2,290 to be more competitive and customers receive free online training and a new reporting tool.

Speaking at Intersolar 2017, Michael Middlemast from Seaward Group USA said: "Intersolar allows us to extend the conversation we have with customers about the challenges they face with solar testing and how our engineering and expertise can help.

"We are dedicated to supporting the growing solar community.

"Our team had a great response to the PV210 – a fast, accurate and cost-effective tool to check the safety and performance of PV modules and strings, with I-V curve tracing.

"We also have an exciting new solar tester that will become available in the early fall."

New reporting tech

The company also unveiled its new intuitive and intelligent reporting tool – Solar Utility Report.

This Excel-based tool takes raw data from a Seaward instrument and generates a professional report in seconds, including pass/fail indications for each string.

It also gives intelligent feedback on the health of the PV system by comparing the measured data from the field against expected or STC (standard test condition) values.

Compatible with PV150, PV200 and PV210 devices, and with an in-built database of more than 18,000 modules, Seaward claims that Solar Utility Report has every customer covered.

Exciting fall news

The market-leading company also hinted at an exciting new product launch coming this fall.

Seaward Group USA's new instrument the Solar Utility Pro will fill the much needed demand for 1500V 40 PV testing.

This milestone in solar testing will be unveiled in September at Solar Power International (SPI), Las Vegas.

Visit Seaward Group USA in the Exhibit Hall (stand 2607) between September 10–13.
